Leaked Xbox

While rumor has it that Microsoft’s next upcoming Xbox console, dubbed the Xbox 720 will be unveiled this Summer at the E3, up until now we know very little about what it would be like.
 We’ll soon have more to follow regarding the rumored Xbox 720.

Wikipad: Gaming tablet with 3D touchscreen display

Judging by the news, it seems that advanced games are coming to tablets, and after Razor’s Fiona Project that runs PC games, today we have a similar prototype for all fans of portable gaming.




Wikipad doesn’t sound like a gaming tablet, but despite its name, this tablet comes with touchscreen display and with special extension that gives you dual analog controllers, directional pad and four front buttons. In addition to the touchscreen and controller, this tablet also comes with 3D display so you’ll be able to enjoy in 3D experience without any special 3D glasses. As for additional specs, Wikipad uses 8-inch screen and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but we have to notice that Android 4.0 runs slow on this prototype model, but that will probably be fixed in the future.




So far, we don’t know what type of games will Wikipad run, and as for the price and release date, no information has been disclosed so far.

Razer Project Fiona: Tablet that runs PC games natively

Project Fiona is developed by Razer, and although it looks like a tablet, this device has Intel Core i7 processor that allows you to run latest PC games on it without any problems. As for other specs, Project Fiona has 10.1-inch display that uses 1280 x 800 resolution, and it also has support for Dolby 7.1 audio. Project Fiona will run PC games natively, therefore, developers won’t have to port their titles, but only problem for the PC gamers might be the built-in controller interface, especially if they are used to keyboard and mouse.



This interface is comprised of two controllers that are attached on the sides of the device, and each controller has analog sticks, front buttons as well as shoulder buttons.





Project Fiona looks promising enough, and it will surely be a hit among gamers who want to enjoy in their favorite PC games on a portable device. As for the price and release date, no information is available at the moment.

We also have to mention that Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera runs on Android so there are several Smart Features such as Smart Album that automatically organizes your photos by specific criteria such as date, time, location, and people. Additional features include geotagging, anti-shake, instant editing, ropping, red-eye removal, resizing and color correction. As for the storage, this camera has 512MB of RAM and it comes with 512MB of internal storage space.

PlayStation Vita runs Sega Genesis games with custom emulator

If you’re into Sega Genesis, you’ll be pleased to hear that PlayStation Vita can run Sega Genesis games via special emulator. However, in order to use this emulator, you need to use PlayStation Vita’s PSP emulator, because this custom emulator was made for PlayStation Portable. As for the performance, the emulator runs Sega Genesis games without problems, however, there are some audio synchronization issues that will probably be fixed in the future.

This is a great tool, if you’re into retro Sega Genesis games and you want to enjoy in them on your PlayStation Vita, however, we’re pretty sure that that Sony will fix this exploit in the future, but we’ll probably see more similar tools from the community in the future.

Nokia Lumia 800 software update fixes battery issue

Nokia’s “First True Windows Phone” —-Lumia 800, was beleaguered with battery related issues that were discovered late last year. To the relief of consumers, Nokia launched a fix that was released on January 19, 2012.


To get the update, one must connect to Zune. Lumia 800 will automatically inform you when your phone is available for update. The update also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity enhancements.
According to Nokia not all Lumia 800 are affected by the battery issue. You could check if you are affected by fully charging your battery and then dial ##634# to go to Service Menu. Go to Battery Status section. Check if you are utilizing a full 1000mAh, if not you are stricken by the problem.

If you have browsed the net a few days ago, you may have noticed that there has been a flood of technology news in the internet over the past few days. It is mainly because the CES (Consumer Electronic Show) has welcomed the year 2012 with new trends of electronic gadgets. They have showcased the latest and futuristic products from the leading manufacturers all over the world. Let us take a look at the top 10 best products launched on the show.

1. Toshiba Excite X10

With all the tablets that we’ve seen in the market, the Toshiba Excite X10 was labeled as the thinnest and lightest tablet seen which is mere 7.7 millimeters thick and weighs 1.2 lbs. Aside from being thin and light, it is still packed with an array of ports including a Micro USB port, SD card slot and a Micro HDMI port. 3. Huawei Ascend P1 S

If we got Toshiba Excite X10 as the thinnest tablet, at CES we also got Huawei Ascend P1 S as the thinnest smartphone at .26-inches (6.68mm). It has a dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4460 CPU running Android 4.0, 1GB of RAM, and a SGX540 graphics processor stuffed under a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 540 Super AMOLED touchscreen protected by Gorilla Glass.




4. Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia Lumia 900 is the latest Windows Phone 7 released by Nokia at the CES. It has a 4.3 inch AMOLED display, 1 megapixel front camera and it is Nokia’s first WP7 4G LTE phone exclusive for AT&T. Nokia has not yet announced neither the release date nor the price for the Nokia Lumia so for those who are interested, just hang a little while and will keep you updated.



5. Sony Xperia S

Sony also launched their new smartphone, the Sony Xperia S. It runs in Android   2.3 with a 4.3-inch HD Display, slender form-factor, dual-core 1.5GHz processor and NFC capabilities. Release date will be on the 2nd quarter of 2012, but no news yet about the price.


6. HP Envy 14 Spectre

The newest ultrabook launched by HP at CES focused on the design, connectivity and display rather than power and speed. What made it unique is that it is fully covered with Gorilla Glass. HP Envy 14 Spectre has a 14-inch display screen powered by core i5-2467M processor, 4GB RAM and 128GM mSATA SSD.

7. LG 84-inch HDTV

At CES, LG unveiled their 84-inch HDTV with voice and gesture recognition capabilities. It incorporates a Smart TV browser that supports HTML 5 as well as Smart Share Plus Wi-Fi which allows you to watch what’s on your TV directly on a mobile device.

The electric skateboard is equipped with a Kinect Sensor fixed to the front of a longboard so it faces back at the rider to detect their movements and gestures. These are translated into commands used to control the board’s 800 watt electric motor, which is powered by a 36 volt battery and can carry the rider at speeds of up to 32 mph. The all-terrain tyres means that the board can also head off road!
